Pretty good fried chicken sandwich! I had it with fiya sauce. Nice that they provide you with gloves so you can eat without having chili oil all over your hands. Fries were ok but not anything special. Get the sandwich!
Do take note that they allow you to order through your phone from the table but that incurs an additional service fee. Best to just order from the counter.
TLDR; food was decent, it could be 5/5 with an improvement of the sauces/seasonings - the chicken itself was well made, crunchy, and moist.
We tried the basil popcorn chicken, fried chicken sandwich, and the tenders with rice. We ordered the spicy Korean sauce with the sandwich and the fiya dry rub with the tenders. We also tried the soy garlic sauce on the side. Overall, the sauces were the biggest let down. They were all too strong in one ingredient, overwhelming the flavor. I’ve ranked them below based on our experience:
1. Best: fiya dry rub with a little spicy Korean sauce on the side
2. Spicy korean - gochujang flavor was a little too strong
3. Soy garlic - something was too strong in this sauce, very mediocre overall
Otherwise, the chicken was properly cooked and not over done. The crunch in the popcorn chicken was very nice! Service was prompt and excellent - all of the ordering was done via a QR code on the table.
Read some of the reviews and ppl mentioned that this place serves halal chicken so had to try it out. I also called and they mentioned chicken is halal. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with korean sauce. It was really good and crunchy. The chicken piece is large which is good. Would definately try it again.
Korean fried chicken will always hold a special place in my stomach (and heart). There was this little spot back in California that I religiously visited several times a month just for their Korean fried whole spring chicken… and I’ve been seeking a replacement since moving here. I was walking towards my current favorite restaurant in Boston when I noticed this spot and decided to give it a try.
Fiya Chicken has their flavors dialed in and their wings are pretty much on point. However, their breading is a little too much for my personal taste. Their wings were also heavily sauced - far more than I’d like as the taste becomes overwhelming after a few wings in. That said, I’m 100% sure that there are others who prefer their Korean fried chicken this way. If I visit again (instead of going to my fav spot literally across the street), I’d stick to their Taiwanese Basil Fried Chicken, which is absolutely lovely and on point; a little ironic when visiting a K-fried-spot.
FIYA is gas, my chicken sandwich was delicious. The best sauces? Gotta be the FIYA sauce and the Spicy Korean. I love how they give you a pair of gloves with your chicken sandwich: things are bound to get messy! I also recommend the plate with tenders and rice (can never go wrong with rice), and I like to get a beer sometimes too at the bar. The employees are pretty cool too. Swag
Located right across the green line, FIYA Chicken is in an convenient location. Dined in and the ordering was through a QR code. Ordered 6 tenders for $19. The tenders themselves were a pretty good size and were well coated in sauce and flavorful but did not have the exact crunch I was hoping for
The restaurant was very detailed and beautiful. They had amazing rice and also chicken. Also I’m not a huge fan of spicy foods but this restaurant really helped me to start off my journey to loving spicy food. 12/10
Halal Korean chicken, the food is super delicious authentic and spicy 🌶️
The Taiwanese chicken platter was great, the chicken pieces are large and the sauce takes the food to another level of deliciousness!
